About Dianne Dengel

Dolls -
Dianne handcrafts her one of a kind dolls from fabric. Each doll's head and entire body is sculpted with needle and thread then hardened with her special method. Dianne then uses her fingers and rolled bits of paper to paint the details that doll collectors all over the world have come to recognize and admire. Her dolls are her "children" and each one has that special Dianne Dengel sparkle of love . All of the clothing is designed and hand sewn by Dianne. She likes to dress her dolls as children dress themselves with bright colors and mismatched patterns. The total package comes together as heartwarming and charming, one of a kind, 3D art in the form of a doll.

Oil Paintings -
Dianne started painting with oils as a teenager after she had finally saved enough money to purchase 5 tubes of paint. She did not have enough to purchase a brush so she used what she had, her fingers and rolled bits of paper. Painting on cardboard or wood because canvas was too costly, she perfected her craft. Dianne continues to paint the same way today and her pictures are instantly recognized as "Dengel's" from of their warm, caring subjects whether it is children frolicking in a swimming hole or an elderly couple going through an attic trunk recalling memories. Dianne Dengel paintings hang in homes and galleries all over the world. It is truly "Art That Makes You Smile!".
